The following criteria must be met in order for an eLearning Broward online student to be eligible for the GED test scholarship.
1.) You must be enrolled in the GED Online program for at least 4 weeks prior to signing up for the test. In addition, you must work consistently and have zero attendance violations in the program for at least 4 consecutive weeks.
2.) You must take and pass the official practice test. Students under the age of 18 are required to take an ‘official practice test’ at the school where they originally registered and must have certain scores.
3.) You must attend at least one workshop prior to signing up for your test. Both online and face-to-face workshops are offered to accommodate all students.
4.) Instructor approval is necessary to obtain the GED scholarship. Your instructor will evaluate your attendance and work in the program to determine whether or not you are ready to test.
***Note: ABE students who are enrolled in the My Skills Tutor program must first take the TABE test again, earn a score of ‘9’ or higher in all areas and then spend the required time in the GED program before being granted the GED scholarship.
